The Costa Daurada (or Dorada as know by the English), has always been a welcoming land. Its excellent climate and privileged location, with more than eightly kilometres of coastline, also with mountains rich in natural and heritage resources make this area, (made up of six counties located in the southern area of Catalonia), one the leading tourist destinations in the Mediterranean.

Events and festivals

Cultural celebrations occur throughout the year in Costa Dorada, the most important of which is the Festival of St Joan on the 23rd June. Catalonia marks the shortest night of the year with dancing in the streets, feasts, firecrackers and bonfires. The Sant Pere Festival in Reus (June) and the Santa Tecla Festival in Tarragona (September) are also not to be missed.

You have to visit Port Aventura. if your 5 or 75 there is something for everyone. From slow walks around beautiful gardens, to 95mph rollercoasters - this adrenaline junky paradise is definitely a place to visit.

In Tarragona, a must see is the walls, the Archaelogical walk, amphitheatre and the head of the circus, without forgetting the Praetorium tower, from where the political stategy of Hisplania was governed.  The monumental complex of Tarraco is a Unesco World Heritage site.

In Salou, if you visit Barenys you will discover how the amphorea were built during the Roman Empire.
